ジャパンクラブ Japan Club
We have monthly meetings where students experience Japanese culture and hang out with students who are also interested in the Japanese language/culture. In the past, we have had:
New Year’s Party: Try making mochi (rice cakes), play New Year’s traditional games, try calligraphy for new year’s resolutions, etc.
Joint Art Project with Students in Japan: We worked together to create a big banner, based on the theme we discussed. This is the project the Japanese government promoted for youth understanding in the world. Our art was putting out in a governmental office in Japan, and we had a Skype session to celebrate our art.
Skype Session with high school students in Japan: Are you interested in talking to them either in English or Japanese, or both? Via Skype, they can see you, and you can see them in their school uniforms!
Anime Convention Trip in Denver: Yes, you can attend “Nandesukan,” the anime convention with your buddies.
